Murder Burger has new burgers....

mmmmm mmmm mm

As much as I love what a great fine dining chef can do...  there is also nothing better than a really good burger,  it is one of those quests that you are constantly on - even if it is on a subconscious level,  so I jumped at the chance to join #brunchclub on the invitation to check out the Mt Eden, Murder Burger s' new menu.

Well.....  that menu is extensive - it will take longer for you to read it and order than it will for them to make it!!!!  No kidding!!  and you can do low-carb or gluten free ( not that it applies to me - and a few would argue that it probably should!! )

Cheese Burger Grande - 1/3 pound grass fed prime angus beef, our famous cheese sauce, pickled gherkins, lettuce, tomato, gourmet relish, free range mayo - $8.90  really!!!

and yes the picture is showing a side order of onion rings!....

although my neighbour - Bunnyeatsdesign - burger had them included - pure genius!!!!

Creole - 1/3 pound grass fed prime angus beef, crumbed onion rings, signature cajun mayo, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese - $12.90

I have to admit sitting with my Cheese Burger Grande and my Caramel Milkshake I felt a little  like one of the characters from the old Archie comics - partly the gregarious company I was surrounded by -  and partly because we were  eating wholesome 'old-fashioned burgers' full of thick-cut slices of juicy tomatoes and I mean juicy - we were all trying to not let the juices reach our elbows,  with a caramel shake.  Only thing I would do differently was that the table next to us had cut there burgers up to share  (wish we had thought of that), but that is probably because at my table, everyone else's burger made me wish 'I had ordered that'!
