Rolling Pin - Food Truck

Rolling Pin - Food Truck

I'm well known amongst my friends for enjoying Dumplings - they are always on hand in the freezer for 'last minute' dinners, so no biggie at all when asked to go check out the Rolling Pin - Food Truck fare.... turns out that I had already - twice.  So I just happily went along hoping my favourite flavour was being served that day.

I want to say here - before I move on to the dumplings, is that the slaw is my favourite part, (not to take away from the delicious dumplings in any way whatsoever) but it is easily the best 'slaw' I have tried so far. Willing to do more research... But I would highly recommend to them, to sell a 'Slaw Only' version on their menu - I would buy it for sure!!!  I have tried to identify everything, to recreate it at home, but manage to fall short each time.

Buddhas Delight - the Vegan dumpling is pumpkin, tofu, shitake mushroom, boo chou and cabbage... not one flavour dominates another - it is super fresh, light and perfectly balanced!!  Not being vegan, it is a tough job to convince me, that Im not missing out... this one does it - I first had these at the vegan food fair - and there was a substantial queue for these, and this is where I fell in love with the slaw (although I think there was coriander in it then).

I want to say here that the Penang Pulled Beef Dumplings are my favourite, slow cooking any sort of meat will always win me over, slow braised beef cheeks, slightly sweet tinge to the sauce and peas ...  I had a few of each dumpling in my box - so you can too, just ask, that way you can try them all.
